For YOUR Sake: Pay Attention!

This is a quick one: if you’re in the city or the country, make sure you are aware of what’s going on around you. I was on the bus once and a man set down his cane, got on his phone, then got off the bus a couple stops later.

HE LEFT HIS CANE. A woman on the bus grabbed it an ran after him but he was on his phone and even though she was yelling, “SIR!” over and over, he didn’t hear her. The bus had to keep its route so she came back, the driver closed the door and off we went- very nice cane inside.

Sometimes you’re missing help, sometimes you’re missing safety clues. But make sure you’re aware of what’s going on around you- people are often very helpful but you’ll miss it if you don’t pay attention.
